Leading media venues in communications market

Jeff Cotrupe’s latest blog entry addressing the communications service provider/telecom operator market, “A Modest Proposal (for Verizon and AT&T),” has now been published by two leading media venues in that space: Xchange and The Voice of Network Convergence (VON).  The piece asserts that the U.S. telecom titans might better ensure long-term success by devoting fewer resources to their “Coke vs. Pepsi cola wars”-style advertising campaigns and spend a bit more on improving their networks and handsets to deliver better service to more customers. It also discusses some capable operations and business support systems (OSS/BSS) solutions that stand ready to arm both operators and consumers with user-specific data about exactly what a consumer is experiencing with regard to an operator’s network and services.
