IneoQuest, which provides companies with video service assurance and management of the viewer experience, has invited Jeff Cotrupe to speak on a panel at Management World 2012 in Dublin, Ireland. Cotrupe will join a representative from IneoQuest and a third speaker from an undisclosed communications service provider (CSP) on the panel, which will discuss solutions that ensure high quality of experience (QoE) for video viewers. QoE solutions are one of four areas Cotrupe and Stratecast analyze under the category of customer experience management (CEM).
A report released in 2011 forecast that by 2015, high-definition Internet video will account for 77 percent of video on demand (VoD).* Cotrupe said video usage is exploding overall: subscribers are consuming video and TV more than ever, including HD, video on demand (VOD), multi-screen video, over-the-top (OTT) video and ‘TV everywhere’ services via the mobile web. Broadcasters, and service and content providers, are now delivering video to millions of subscribers through a patchwork of managed and unmanaged networks. As subscribers steadily increase their investments in video and TV, they understandably demand high-quality video—and in HD, video errors stand out like never before. IneoQuest offers video quality and service assurance solutions to address these challenges. “CEM is no longer merely an industry buzzword but now a crucial element in the ability of CSPs to operate their networks and businesses–and retain their customers,” said Cotrupe. “Companies such as IneoQuest that can deliver powerful, video-focused QoE solutions are becoming the CSP’s best friends.”
