MarketPOWER™, LLC will begin 2009 with a bold new look thanks to the launch of its new website. MarketPOWER’s Jeff Cotrupe announced the new site in a message to the firm’s customers, partners, suppliers and associates the third week of December.

The MarketPOWER home page describes how some striking structures from different parts of the world helped to inspire the move. An excerpt reads: “We help clients build their businesses by combining traditional values of hard work, integrity and leadership with rock-solid fundamentals, good citizenship and today’s cutting-edge technologies…in a results-oriented fashion and at Internet speed. So in search of captivating web designs, we were inspired by the gleaming new, futuristic City of Arts and Sciences–in the 2,000-year-old Mediterranean port city of Valencia, Spain–and the Cybertecture Egg, a ‘green’ corporate structure set to rise over Mumbai, India, in 2010. We are gratified to have breathtaking images of both grace our site.”

The new site features white background with dark text and other elements for ultimate readability; sophisticated navigation grids and graphical soft edges at middle and bottom of page; photographic eye candy featuring people and the aforementioned structures; tasteful, selectively-inserted start-stop animations; links to MarketPOWER’s other domains, its listings on the world’s most popular local listing directories and business information services such as Dun & Bradstreet and Hoover’s; and subnavigation to pages of categorized samples of project deliverables and  business results. The site also contains what is still the only About YOU page that you are likely to encounter on the web, reflecting a true outward focus and an understanding of customer needs and thought processes that uniquely enables MarketPOWER to provide precisely what is needed in each situation.

That outward focus is reflected in Cotrupe’s thoughts about the site. He personally designed, developed and provided all content for the site, yet his focus in the wake of the successful launch is on two providers whose contributions are all about creating an enhanced experience for site visitors. For example, every page of the site features search capability powered by Atomz that covers all page content and attached files–currently totaling 207 searchable pages–and includes things like sound-alike matching. “We do extensive site- and browser-testing with every move we make on the site to be sure everything looks right and works perfectly in virtually any browser, particularly Avant, Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer, Opera, Orca and Safari,” said Cotrupe. “During the course of our pre-launch testing we randomly typed the word ‘smith’ into a search field and it matched a line buried in one of our sample deliverables talking about how something ‘unifies your organization’s efforts into a smooth-flowing, highly efficient’ system.” Cotrupe noted thus far Atomz has found only one error in its full indexes of the MarketPOWER site: The favicon, which is what makes MarketPOWER’s mP cube icon appear in the browser window and when someone saves the site in his or her browser bookmarks. “The Atomz product trying to index our favicon is just another reflection of the  thorough, high-quality search functionality the Atomz team has brought to our site,” he said.

Under the hood, Cotrupe is on a mission to create global awareness of MarketPOWER and its clients through a variety of social media initiatives. In this area, too, the site lauds an external provider, Add To Any,  whose  share/save widget makes it easy for site visitors to bookmark MarketPOWER on every popular share/save site and a great many that the average user may not have discovered yet. An excerpt from the site’s Customers/Partners page reads: “Founding Developer Pat Diven II has given the world the single most important innovation in social media: Add To Any. The Add To Any superwidgets, featured on this and all true web 2.0-3.0 sites, put a multitude of social media/bookmarking/sharing sites at the click of a button and auto-update transparently as Add To Any adds new sites.” Cotrupe has also added the widget to the company’s blog, MarketBLOG, and its News 2.0 online newsroom, both hosted on WordPress. Cotrupe noted Atomz has not made the voyage to WordPress along with Add To Any, for one reason only: WordPress already offers a search widget on its platform.
