Blogging for Business

Standard

I used to post here, jeffcotrupe.com, about my work life at MongoDB and Stratecast, and while I haven’t for awhile, that may change. Jeff Cotrupe’s NEWS+ feels like a good place to stretch out my business blogging muscles.

After MongoDB came SingleStore, so here’s some of what I was up to there.

Some of my best work: Made on SingleStore

Our Brand Team, to this day my favorite humans at SingleStore, gave me a really nice framework to build on, and I ran with it. Made on SingleStore showcased some of my work as a member of the Product Marketing team, and results I achieved for SingleStore, in Customer Marketing, Analyst Relations, Partner Marketing, and Community/Peer Reviews.

Where I blog for a living today: Cockroach Labs/CockroachDB Blog

I’m now at Cockroach Labs, the creator of CockroachDB, and my CockroachDB blog home is here. At that link you’ll find my first post: Why Agentic AI is Outrunning Your Database (and How to Catch Up FAST). The main thrust is that legacy databases, which aren’t even equipped to handle the amount of human data being produced at the dawn of 2026, don’t stand a chance against the growing global army of AI agents who make decisions every second, and never sleep in or take vacation. Blogging for a cause: marketblog.me

For years now when I’m inspired to blog about some burning issue, here’s where it happens: It Was Just a Thought™: Jeff Cotrupe’s MarketBLOG. Type marketblog.me into a search field and it’ll take you there.

Find me here or find me there. Hope you like what you read. Either way, let’s chat about it.

AI Expo North America 2017 has selected Jeff Cotrupe as an event Chair for its upcoming conference in November just after the US Thanksgiving holiday. The event, co-located and concurrent with the Blockchain and IoT Tech expos, will occur 29-30 November 2017 at the Santa Clara Convention Center, Santa Clara, California, USA.

“Artificial intelligence, machine learning, the Internet of Things, and blockchain are fast becoming integral parts of the world in which we live and work,” said Cotrupe. “It is an honor to be involved with this multi-faceted conference and I will be focusing, in part, on how AI both leverages data and contributes to the overall big data and analytics (BDA) ecosystem.”

The Bot and Virtual Assistant Development Track Cotrupe is chairing occurs on Day 2 of the conference and his featured Speaker content is linked from that page or directly available here.
